Edfu, Kom Ombo, Nileimpressions und Galabeiaparty

It nevertheless still worked. "Punctual", half an hour past midnight our ship left Luxor. Now the part begins, which calls itself cruise. With the darkness one sees nothing except the stars, but the movement of the ship is the feeling. Thus off into the bed, today breakfast starts at 8 o'clock. After the breakfast we enjoy the pasing Nile scenes.

At 10 o'clock we reached Edfu. Today the distance to the temple is put back in carts. Last stop is, what else should it be, a Souk (Bazaar), by which one must fight out oneself by foot. Everywhere Special Offers. The sayings are new: "summer sale", "winter sale" and "everything free of charge, today buy and pay tomorrow".

Somehow we finally reached the temple.Ticket for Edfu The Horus temple is considered as one of the best preserved temples in Egypt. It is for the God Horus. It was built from 237 BC to 57 BC, when Egypt was occupied by the Greeks already.

At the entrance, as usual, controls by the tourist police. Pics from the temple are below.

After the temple back by the Souk. Here the opportunity is used to cover us up for the Galabeia evening with "Egyptian Clothing´s". Who does not negotiate here, should be actually laughed at. The dealer wanted to have 200 LE (Egyptian Pound) for a Galabeia. We agreed afterwards on 45 LE for 2 Galabeias, a head cloth for Tanja and a Turban cloth for me. Actually still too much, but vacation and the time is limited somehow. Thus again into the cart and to the ship.
